Gold rate outlook
Prithviraj Kothari, managing director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd., president, IBJA, says, “Precious metals recorded a second consecutive weekly decline as May CPI threatened to breach 4%, US PPI surged 6.5% year-on-year, and the ECB raised rates for the first time since 2023. However, a US-Iran peace framework — set for formal signing in Switzerland on Friday — triggered a recovery early this week, pushing oil down over 4% and the dollar to a 10-day low. December Fed rate-hike probability has since fallen to 48% from 69%. Gold trades near $4,330, with resistance at $4,500–$4,550 and support at $4,242. Silver holds above a $70 rate, targeting $72–$75, with support at $65–$66. Bias: cautiously bullish into FOMC this week.”
