If the mulled wine, falling snow and fondue were not enough, outdoor Christmas movies have been added to the Christmas in July Festival Canberra.
Festive favourites including Home Alone, Love Actually, Elf, The Grinch and Office Christmas Party will be shown on the big screen as part of the festival.
The celebrations will take place from July 1 to 5 in the National Triangle.
Thousands are expected to gather for the festival at Parkes Place West Lawns, between Old Parliament House and Questacon, for five days of fairy lights, mulled wine, snowfall moments, wooden chalets and festive winter experiences.
This year, visitors will also be able to enjoy an open-air cinema set beside a giant fire pit garden.
People can sit under the stars, wrapped in a blanket, surrounded by firepits, with a glass of mulled wine or cup of hot chocolate in hand. There are also day-time sessions.
While entry to the festival is free, some events including the open air cinema are ticketed.
Alongside the cinema, festivalgoers will be able to wander among beautifully decorated wooden chalets inspired by the traditional Christmas markets of Europe.
There will be artisan products for sale, raclette, hot desserts, mulled wine and festive live entertainment throughout the site.
