F1 standings after Canadian GP as Kimi Antonelli extends lead to George Russell

George Russell was left stood furious at the side of the track as he was dumped out of Canadian Grand Prix following a pulsating battle with title rival Kimi Antonelli.

The British driver was locked in a ding-dong battle with his Mercedes team-mate and they again made contact, a day on from colliding in the sprint, before Russell was taken out of the race with what appeared to be an electrical issue on lap 30.

Russell threw his headrest and slammed the car in anger as he climbed out before watching on as it was removed from the track, as Antonelli claimed the lead of the race.

It had to that point been a thrilling tussle as the scrapping pair exchanged the lead multiple times, with Antonelli accusing Russell of pushing him off the track for the second day running.
