Everton vs Man City: Prediction, kick-off time, team news, TV, live stream, h2h results, odds today

Manchester City travel to Everton looking to keep pace with Arsenal at the top of the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola’s men are now six points behind the Gunners before even kicking a ball as the north London thumped Fulham 3-0 on Saturday.

That leaves City with two games in hand on the current league leaders, and needing to win both.

Man City are on a win streak that has resulted in them reeling in Arsenal’s nine-point lead at the summit, and Guardiola’s side topped the tree momentarily after their 1-0 win at Burnley.

Now, they have a potential banana skin trip to Merseyside against an Everton side that will not give up on European qualification.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Everton vs Man City is scheduled for an 8pm BST kick-off today, Monday, May 4, 2026.

The match will take place at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Where to watch Everton vs Man City

TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on Sky Sports Main Event, with coverage starting at 6.30pm BST.

Live stream: Sky Sports subscribers can also catch the contest live online via the Sky Go app.

Everton vs Man City team news

Everton were always going to be without their star loanee Jack Grealish, who has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign with a stress fracture in his foot.

The attacking midfielder would have been ineligible for this fixture regardless, as he would have been facing his parent club.

Elsewhere, defender Jarrad Branthwaite saw his campaign come to an end after his hamstring injury in the Merseyside derby defeat to Liverpool but Beto is back in contention after missing the loss at West Ham with a concussion.

For Man City, the main absentees are Rodri, Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol.

There are question marks over when the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner will return to action, with the Spaniard suffering a groin problem in the 2-1 win over Arsenal.

Everton vs Man City prediction

This is a tricky test for City, who will have their attentions split between the Premier League and the upcoming FA Cup final against Chelsea.

Guardiola, however, will ensure that his players are focused on the task at hand, and that, in the short term, is on Everton.

They created plentiful chances but were wasteful at Burnley, and they will need to show more of a ruthlessness here to earn all three points.

Man City to win, 2-1.
