Brazil vs Morocco: World Cup 2026 prediction, kick-off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results, odds

Brazil open their 2026 World Cup campaign with their toughest test of the group stage, facing Morocco in New York.

The Selecao have not made it beyond the semi-finals since being crowned champions in 2002, but they are widely tipped for a positive run at this year’s tournament under the expert leadership of Carlo Ancelotti.

They head to the United States having lost only once in their last six matches, with that defeat coming at the hands of France, but more recent victories over Panama and Egypt wrought eight goals between them and will have Brazil plenty confident.

Morocco, meanwhile, come into the tournament having been named 2025 AFCON champions in a courtroom despite losing the final to Senegal on penalties.

Their remarkable run to the semi-finals in Qatar is still reasonably fresh in the memory, and they will hope to produce similar heroics here.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Brazil vs Morocco is scheduled for an 11pm BST kick-off on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

The match will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Brazil vs Morocco prediction

Brazil come into this tournament with high expectations and dreams of the World Cup. While they open the tournament against their toughest group stage opposition, they will be fully intent on topping the group by the end of the night.

Free-scoring victories over Panama and Croatia have them on song ahead of the tournament, while Morocco have laboured to a draw with Norway and beat Madagascar and Burundi in previous outings.

We expect Don Carlo to issue an unequivocal statement of intent.

Brazil to win, 3-1.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

This will be the second meeting between these nations at a World Cup, with the previous coming at France ‘98. Brazil won that tie 3-0 thanks to goals from Ronaldo Nazario, Rivaldo and Bebeto.
