Five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champion, Chennai Super Kings have roped in promising all-rounder Macneil Hadley Noronha as a replacement for Ramakrishna Ghosh, who has been ruled out of the remainder of the 2026 IPL season due to a foot injury.
Ghosh sustained the injury to his right foot during CSK’s match against the Mumbai Indians on May 3.
Noronha, an all-rounder from Karnataka, joined CSK for a base price of Rs 30 lakh. The young cricketer has been making waves in the domestic circuit, earning recognition for his stellar performances.
He was recently awarded the prestigious MA Chidambaram Trophy at the Naman Awards for finishing as the highest run-scorer in the 2024–25 Colonel C.K. Nayudu Trophy. His standout season also earned him a call-up to the Karnataka squad for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where he featured in three matches.
