The best Race is Aesir (S Tier - +75% Damage with +100% Crit Damage and +10% Crit Chance), the best Element is Thunder (S Tier - +50% Crit Damage that dominates in boss fights), and the best Blessing is Odin (S Tier - +200% Damage). All three rerolls drop from specific bosses and require Level 500 or 1,000 to use.

Broken Blade's progression runs through three separate systems, namely Races, Elements, and Blessings, each providing passive bonuses that stack together to determine your total combat output. The wrong combination in any one of the three will slow down your farming and boss fights, especially in the late-game. So to help you avoid that, this tier list ranks the best races, elements, and blessings, so you know exactly what to prioritize with each reroll.
What Do the Tier Rankings Mean in Our Broken Blade Race Tier List?
In Broken Blade, our race rankings are based on the total offensive and defensive value of each race's passive bonuses and how well they scale into late-game content. Here are each of the tiers and what they mean.
| Tier | Meaning in Broken Blade | Races |
|---|---|---|
| S | Meta-defining. High base damage plus weapon-specific bonuses or crit multipliers that dominate across all game modes. | 4 |
| A | Excellent. Balanced offense and survivability that hold up well in most content, though lacking the weapon specialization of S Tier. | 2 |
| B | Solid. Defensive bonuses are useful early but contribute no direct damage, causing them to fall off in the late game. | 2 |
| C | Below average. Minimal bonus that becomes unnoticeable. Should be replaced at the first opportunity. | 1 |

| Race & Rarity | Buffs | Why This Tier | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() Aesir [Mythical] |
+75% DMG, +10% Crit Chance, +100% Crit DMG, +5% ATK Speed |
+ Aesir is the highest-DPS race in the game because it stacks four offensive bonuses simultaneously. + The +100% Crit Damage multiplier is the standout as it makes every critical hit hit twice as hard, and combined with +10% Crit Chance, the damage output compounds significantly. + Aesir works across every weapon type with no build restrictions, making it the most versatile race regardless of what you are running. |
All content, Crit builds, Boss fights, Any weapon |
![]() Vanir [Legendary] |
+75% DMG, +25% Katana DMG |
+ Vanir is also S Tier because of +75% base damage and adds +25% Katana Damage specifically for katana builds. + Vanir is almost on par with Aesir, but the weapon bonus is locked to one build type, so if you are running katana, you get near-identical power to Aesir. |
Katana builds, Boss fights, Burst DPS |
![]() Nether [Legendary] |
+75% DMG, +25% Buster DMG |
+ Nether is the Buster-weapon equivalent of Vanir, as it has the same +75% base damage paired with +25% Buster Damage that compounds into exceptional burst on heavy-hitting Buster attacks. + Nether scales particularly well into late-game content where raw damage becomes increasingly important, and is the mandatory pick for any dedicated Buster build. |
Buster builds, Late-game, Heavy burst |
![]() Elf [Legendary] |
+75% DMG, +25% Sword DMG |
+ Elf provides the same +75% base damage as Vanir and Nether with a +25% Sword Damage bonus for Sword users. + The weapon-specific bonus makes Elf fit in S Tier for Sword builds, improving both DPS against grouped enemies and burst performance against bosses. Like the other weapon-specific Legendary races, Elf is locked to one build type. |
Sword builds, Boss fights |
Which Races Are A Tier in Broken Blade?
| Race & Rarity | Buffs | Why This Tier | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() Flame [Epic] |
+50% DMG, +50% Health |
+ Flame is the most balanced race in the game, splitting its bonuses evenly between offense and survivability. + The +50% Damage is lower than S Tier options, but the +50% Health advantage makes Flame considerably more durable in difficult boss fights and high-level areas. - Flame falls behind S Tier in pure DPS, but is the best race for players who need both damage output and survivability. |
Balanced builds, Boss Fights, All Weapons |
![]() Frost [Epic] |
+50% DMG, +20% DMG Reduction |
+ Frost trades Flame's health bonus for a +20% Damage Reduction that reduces incoming damage from all sources, making it more durable against bosses. + Frost provides the same +50% Damage as Flame but no health increase. - The lack of weapon specialization is what keeps this below S Tier in late-game builds. |
Tank Builds, All Weapons |
Which Races Are B Tier in Broken Blade?
| Race & Rarity | Buffs | Why This Tier | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() Giant [Rare] |
+10% DMG Reduction, +5% Life Steal |
+ Giant provides passive sustain through Life Steal and reduces incoming damage through Damage Reduction, giving it genuine defensive value in long farming sessions and boss encounters. - However, Giant provides zero direct damage bonuses whatsoever, which means farming and progression are noticeably slower compared to any higher-tier race. |
Early-to-mid game, Tank Builds |
![]() Dwarves [Uncommon] |
+30% Health |
+ Dwarves provide a +30% Health increase that makes early-game survival easier for new players. - The health boost has no offensive contribution, and as enemies scale in difficulty, Dwarves' value becomes negligible compared to every other race available. |
Beginners, Early game only |
Which Race Is C Tier in Broken Blade?
| Race & Rarity | Buffs | Why This Tier | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() Human [Common] |
+10% Health |
- Human's +10% Health is the smallest bonus in the race pool and becomes statistically unnoticeable as stats grow. - Human provides no offensive bonuses, no defensive scaling, and no weapon synergy of any kind. It is purely the default starting race. |
Starting race only |
What Do the Tier Rankings Mean in Our Broken Blade Element Tier List?
In Broken Blade, our element rankings are based on how directly each element contributes to damage output, survivability, or combat across all game modes. Here are each of the tiers and what they mean.
| Tier | Meaning in Broken Blade | Elements |
|---|---|---|
| S | Meta-defining. Direct damage or crit multipliers that scale with weapon upgrades and remain effective through endgame content. | 2 |
| A | Excellent. Meaningful combat bonuses that contribute to sustained DPS or survivability without directly boosting raw damage numbers. | 2 |
| B | Solid. Useful early but provides no offensive contribution, limiting its value as progression scales. | 2 |

| Element & Rarity | Buffs | Why This Tier | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() Thunder [Mythical] |
+50% Crit DMG |
+ Thunder's +50% Crit Damage multiplier compounds with every critical hit, turning each crit into a damage burst that no other element can match in peak output. + In boss fights, Thunder dramatically shreds through HP compared to flat damage elements. |
Crit builds, Boss fights, Late-game |
![]() Fire [Legendary] |
+50% DMG |
+ Fire provides the highest flat damage increase of any element at +50%, making it the most universally applicable offensive pick in the game. + The direct damage boost scales with every weapon upgrade, requires no specific build to reach full value, and speeds up both farming clears and boss fights consistently. |
All builds, Boss fights, Any weapon, DPS |
Which Elements Are A Tier in Broken Blade?
| Element & Rarity | Buffs | Why This Tier | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() Wind [Epic] |
+15% ATK Speed |
+ Wind's +15% Attack Speed boosts how many hits you land per second, improves combo execution, and generates energy faster for more frequent skill usage. - The attack speed bonus increases the DPS in fights, but individual hit damage remains lower than Fire or Thunder builds since Wind does not boost raw damage numbers. |
Combo builds, DPS |
![]() Life [Rare] |
+3% Life Steal |
+ Life Steal restores health on every hit, reducing the need to run during farming and improving survivability in boss fights where damage is unavoidable. - Life's +3% rate is enough to make a real difference in most fights, but it can be outpaced by enemies that hit hard enough that the healing cannot keep up. |
Farming, Survivability |
Which Element Is B Tier in Broken Blade?
| Element & Rarity | Buffs | Why This Tier | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() Earth [Common] |
+10% DMG Reduction |
+ Earth reduces incoming damage from all sources, which has genuine value in the early game when enemy hits can quickly deplete a new player's health pool. - However, Earth provides no offensive value whatsoever. No damage, no crits, no attack speed, which means farming progression is noticeably slower than any element that directly boosts offense. |
Early game, Survivability |
![]() Water [Uncommon] |
+1.0% Energy Recovery/sec |
- Water recovers 1% energy per second, which theoretically enables more skill usage over time. In practice, the benefit is too small to influence combat outcomes in any way. - Water provides no damage, crit, attack speed, or survivability contribution. It is the weakest element by a clear margin. |
None |
What Do the Tier Rankings Mean in Our Broken Blade Blessings Tier List?
The blessings are ranked based on total offensive contribution, the number of stacking bonuses per blessing, and how well each one scales into the endgame. Here are each of the tiers and what they mean.
| Tier | Meaning in Broken Blade | Blessings |
|---|---|---|
| S | Meta-defining. Mythical rarity with multiple stacking offensive bonuses that dominate all content from farming through endgame bosses. | 5 |
| A | Excellent. Legendary blessings with strong two or three-stat combinations that perform well in boss fights and late content. | 5 |
| B | Solid. Epic and Rare blessings useful as mid-game stepping stones, but outclassed by Legendary options with more impactful stat combinations. | 7 |
| C | Below average. Minimal single-stat bonuses with no secondary effects that become obsolete almost immediately. | 4 |

UncommonWhich Blessings Are S Tier in Broken Blade?
| Blessing & Rarity | Buffs | Why This Tier | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() Odin [Mythical] |
+200% DMG, +75% Crit DMG, +25% Buster DMG, +12% ATK Speed |
+ Odin is the strongest blessing in the game by a significant margin, stacking four offensive bonuses at the top of every stat category. + The +200% Damage is the highest base damage bonus available, the +75% Crit Damage matches Hel's critical output, and the +25% Buster Damage plus +12% Attack Speed layer on top for Buster weapon users specifically. + No other blessing approaches Odin's total offensive ceiling regardless of build type. |
All content, Buster builds, DPS, endgame |
![]() Jormungandr [Mythical] |
+175% DMG, +12% ATK Speed, +70% Crit DMG, +10% DMG Reduction |
+ Jormungandr is the closest alternative to Odin, providing comparable offensive output with a +10% Damage Reduction layer that makes it more durable in sustained boss encounters. + The combination of +175% Damage, +70% Crit Damage, and +12% Attack Speed gives you S Tier DPS, and the defensive bonus makes fights easier. + The better choice for players who want top-tier output without sacrificing all survivability. |
All content, Survivability, Boss Fights |
![]() Fenrir [Mythical] |
+150% DMG, +8% Crit DMG, +25% Buster DMG, +8% Life Steal |
+ Fenrir pairs the Buster weapon focus of Odin with +8% Life Steal for passive HP regen during combat. + The self-sustain makes farming sessions easier, and boss fights easier than pure DPS blessings, at the cost of slightly lower peak damage output compared to Odin. + Fenrir is the best choice for Buster builds that need survivability alongside their DPS. |
Buster builds, HP Regen, boss fights |
![]() Hel [Mythical] |
+125% DMG, +75% Crit DMG, +25% Buster DMG, +60% Health |
+ Hel combines the Buster weapon specialization of Odin and Fenrir with the largest health bonus of any Mythical blessing at +60%, making it the most durable S Tier option available. + The +75% Crit Damage matches Odin's critical output directly, so Hel trades base damage for substantially more HP. |
Tank-DPS builds, Buster builds |
![]() Surtr [Mythical] |
+100% DMG, +25% Buster DMG, +12% ATK Speed, +0.6 Energy/sec |
+ Surtr covers base damage, weapon specialization, attack speed, and energy recovery, making it the most versatile Mythical blessing in the tier. + The Energy Recovery per second lets you use skills more frequently, which adds ability damage on top of normal attack output and compounds Surtr's total DPS in skill-heavy builds. |
Buster builds, All content |
Which Blessings Are A Tier in Broken Blade?
| Blessing & Rarity | Buffs | Why This Tier | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() Thor [Legendary] |
+70% DMG, +20% Buster DMG, +50% Crit DMG |
+ Thor is the strongest Legendary blessing for Buster weapon users, stacking +70% Damage with +20% Buster Damage and +50% Crit Damage for huge DPS in boss fights. - The absence of any survivability or support bonus is its main limitation. In longer fights where defense matters, Thor loses its footing. |
Buster builds, Boss fights, Crit-burst builds |
![]() Tyr [Legendary] |
+60% DMG, +6% Life Steal, +8% Crit Chance |
+ Tyr pairs consistent self-healing through Life Steal with +60% Damage and +8% Crit Chance, covering offense, sustain, and critical hit frequency in one blessing. - Falls behind Thor mainly because the +60% base damage is lower than what the best Legendary options provide. |
HP Regen builds, Crit-Chance builds |
![]() Loki [Legendary] |
+65% DMG, +8% ATK Speed, +0.5 Energy/sec |
+ Loki is built for aggressive, fast-paced playstyles with +65% Damage combined with +8% Attack Speed and +0.5 Energy Recovery per second, with high DPS from skill cycling and frequent combo chains. - Loki's DPS is limited by its lack of critical hit or defensive bonuses, which reduces its effectiveness in the late game, where those stats become increasingly important. |
Attack Speed builds, All Weapons |
![]() Heimdall [Legendary] |
+50% DMG, +7% Crit Chance, +20% Crit DMG |
+ Heimdall provides a complete crit-stat package in a single Legendary blessing, pairing Crit Chance and Crit Damage together for compounding burst output in any crit-focused build. - The +50% base damage is on the lower end for A Tier, but the dual crit bonuses working together keep Heimdall competitive in builds that generate crits consistently. |
Crit builds, Universal weapon types |
![]() Freyja [Legendary] |
+50% DMG, +8% DMG Reduction, +20% Health |
+ Freyja is the most defensive A Tier blessing, combining modest +50% Damage with +8% Damage Reduction and +20% Health for a survivability-first offensive build. - The raw damage bonus is the lowest in A Tier, but the combination of damage mitigation and a health pool increase makes Freyja the most defensive alternative. |
Defensive builds, Survivability |
Which Blessings Are B Tier in Broken Blade?
| Blessing & Rarity | Buffs | Why This Tier | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() Baldr [Epic] |
+35% DMG, +15% Crit Chance |
+ Baldr's +15% Crit Chance significantly increases critical hit frequency, which indirectly improves damage output in crit-scaling builds. - The +35% base damage is low for late-game content, and the single additional stat is not enough to compete with A Tier blessings. |
Crit builds, mid-game progression |
![]() Freyr [Epic] |
+35% DMG, +15% Crit DMG |
+ Freyr boosts burst damage whenever crits land with +15% Crit Damage, but requires external Crit Chance sources to trigger that bonus consistently. - Without reliable crit generation from races or elements, Freyr's advantage over other B-tier blessings is mostly theoretical. |
Crit-damage builds, mid-game |
![]() Frigg [Epic] |
+30% DMG, +5% ATK Speed |
+ Frigg provides modest bonuses across two stats that make combat smoother without dramatically improving either offense or survivability. - The lower base damage and minimal attack speed increase put Frigg below other Epic blessings in total value. |
Early-to-mid game, combo smoothness |
![]() Njord [Epic] |
+40% DMG, +0.5 Energy/sec |
+ Njord has the highest base damage of any B Tier blessing at +40% and adds Energy Recovery that lets you use more skills, particularly in auto-play mode. - The lack of crit, attack speed, or defensive bonuses limits Njord's DPS compared to A Tier alternatives. |
Auto mode, skill-dependent builds, farming |
![]() Vidar [Rare] |
+25% DMG, +5% Life Steal |
+ Vidar provides a modest early-game option with some passive sustain through Life Steal that reduces the need for healing in the early game. - The +25% Damage is low and gets outclassed quickly by higher-rarity blessings, making Vidar a temporary pick for beginners. |
Early game, beginners, self-sustain |
![]() Vali [Rare] |
+23% DMG, +50% Health |
+ Vali's +50% Health is one of the largest health bonuses in the B Tier, giving beginners some survivability during the early game. - The +23% base damage is too low to keep up through mid-game progression, making Vali useful specifically for players who are still building toward their first boss rerolls. |
Beginners, early game, survivability |
![]() Eir [Rare] |
+20% DMG, +5% DMG Reduction |
+ Eir provides a small damage boost and minor damage mitigation that marginally improves early-game durability. - Both bonuses are outclassed by nearly every blessing above them in rarity once progression moves past the early stages. |
Early game only |
Which Blessings Are C Tier in Broken Blade?
| Blessing & Rarity | Buffs | Why This Tier | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() Valkyrie [Uncommon] |
+18% DMG |
- Valkyrie provides a single +18% Damage bonus with no secondary effect of any kind. - Every other blessing in the roster provides a comparable or higher damage boost, plus at least one additional stat. |
Early game only |
![]() Einherjar [Uncommon] |
+15% DMG |
- Einherjar grants +15% Damage, which is lower than Valkyrie's already-underwhelming bonus, with the same absence of any secondary effect. - There is no content stage or build type where Einherjar is the correct blessing to hold beyond the absolute opening minutes of the game. |
Early game only |
![]() Light [Common] |
+7% DMG |
- Light provides +7% Damage with nothing else, barely perceptible in practice and not meaningful to any combat at any stage of the game. - Light functions purely as a starting condition and should be treated as such. |
None |
![]() Dark [Common] |
+5% DMG |
- Dark is the weakest blessing in Broken Blade, providing the smallest offensive bonus in the entire game across all three tier lists with no secondary effect. - Dark exists as the absolute baseline starting option with no relevant use case. |
None |
How Do You Reroll in Broken Blade?
You can reroll all the above stats in Broken Blade, which includes your Race, Element and Blessing. Do note that you need specific items and level requirements (Lv. 500 for Race and Elements, Lv.1000 for Blessings) to reroll these. Here's how you get every item as well:
- Race Reroll items drop from the Nivaron Boss as one of its reward items , making it the main farming target if you want to reroll races.
- Element Reroll items drop from the Velik Boss , which is the primary farming source.
- The Gelaros Boss is the main source for Blessing Reroll items.
