Arsenal win Premier League title LIVE!
The celebrations continue in north London, and beyond, after last night Arsenal were crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years. After a season filled with knife-edge matches and, at times, crippling tension, the title-winning moment came while they were sat at home as Manchester City fail beat Bournemouth and take the title race to the final day of the season. Erling Haaland’s 95th-minute equaliser was not enough to deny Arsenal, after Eli Junior Kroupi’s first-half wondergoal at the Vitality Stadium.
That means that Arsenal, sitting on 82 points with a match remaining, cannot be caught and the party started outside the Emirates Stadium, and at the club’s training ground were players and staff celebrated wildly. There could yet be more to come, too. Arsenal still have the chance to win the Champions League for the first time as they take on holders Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest on May 30.
Arsenal great Ian Wright joined fans outside the Emirates, as the likes of former manager Arsene Wenger and current prime minister Sir Keir Starmer sent his congratulations. Follow all the reaction to Arsenal’s title win LIVE below with our dedicated match blog!

Haaland reveals Man City dressing room reaction
17:47 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne
Erling Haaland says seeing Arsenal crowned Premier League champions should give the Manchester City squad motivation for next season.
Man City travelled to Bournemouth on Tuesday night knowing only a win would be enough to keep the title race alive going into the final day of the campaign, as well as hopes of a domestic cup treble.
City started well at the Vitality Stadium and had an Antoine Semenyo goal disallowed for offside early on, but fell behind to a stunning Eli Kroupi Junior strike shortly before half-time.
This left Man City needing to score two goals without reply, though they could only manage one as Haaland slammed the ball into the back of the net deep into second half stoppage-time.
Since beating Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on April 19, City have dropped points to Everton and now Bournemouth, leaving Haaland to reflect on two season’s without a Premier League title.

On Tuesday evening when Arsenal posted video footage of their players gathering to celebrate winning the Premier League title, supporters noticed Timber moving around freely.

How Mikel Arteta delivered on his Arsenal promise
12:16 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne
Sitting down for his first Arsenal press conference in December 2019, Mikel Arteta made a promise.
"I will burn every drop of blood for this football club to make it better," the Spaniard vowed.
The progress was at first gradual, focused on culture as much as results. The foundations were set for what was to follow.
Now, finally, confirmation that Arteta has made Arsenal not just better, but the best. Better than they have been for 22 years. The club's longest wait for a league title since the Second World War is over.
With a Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain still to come, there is every chance this finishes as Arsenal's greatest ever season.
Thierry Henry has spoken
11:27 , Alex Young
“From Highbury seats to the Emirates - Arsenal Nation, finally we can celebrate. Special thanks to this generation - finally now my kids saw us winning a title.”
Inside Arsenal's Premier League title celebrations
11:13 , Alex Young
Arsenal had just been crowned Premier League champions and Bukayo Saka had some things to get off his chest.
Saka has been at the club since he was eight. He has been there for every day of Mikel Arteta's reign, all the near misses, and now he was ready to let loose.
There is a blacked-out silhouette of the Premier League trophy at Arsenal's training ground, one that the players walk past every day.
It has been dark for years, only to be lit up once Arsenal had won the league and finally that can now happen. Shortly after Manchester City's draw with Bournemouth confirmed Arsenal as champions, Saka walked over to the trophy with Jurrien Timber.
He said: “Light that up! Let me tell you something - 22 years, 22 years they were laughing, they were joking.
"They’re not laughing anymore. It’s going to be shining. Look, it's going to be shining. It’s going to be shining bright!”
Saka then shared a hug with Arsenal's club photographer Stuart MacFarlane who was there to play his part in documenting an historic night.
Arteta had indicated on Monday night that there would be no mass gathering to watch the City match.
However, while he opted to stay at home and be with his family on what proved to be the decisive night, the Arsenal players and other staff members congregated at the training ground.
Seats were set up in rows in front of a screen. William Saliba, sat next to birthday boy Riccardo Calafiori, was a particularly nervous watcher, gesticulating at the screen and trying to marshal the Bournemouth defence from more than 100 miles away.
As the final seconds of the match ticked away, everyone stood up and crowded together. The full-time whistle blew and bedlam ensued.
How much prize money do Arsenal earn by winning Premier League title?
10:38 , Alex Young
The Premier League confirm “as part of the money they receive from central payments, clubs earn money based on their final positions in the Premier League table, with these merit payments based on a sliding scale calculated according to where you finish, from 1st to 20th.
“Arsenal, for example, are set to receive 20 times the basic merit payment, while the club who finish second get 19 times, and so on.
“Last season, each place was worth approximately an additional £2.6m, with champions Liverpool earning £53.1m, while bottom club Southampton received £2.6m.”
Arsenal have also reportedly earned more than £120million from their run to the Champions League final, and winning in Budapest in 10 days’ time will increase that figure.

Which Arsenal players may not get Premier League winners' medal?
09:54 , Alex Young
Rule C.13 in the Premier League Handbook states the Gunners “will receive 40 commemorative medals, which are made of silver and are 2.25in (5.7cm) in diameter.
“These are to be presented by the Club to its Manager and to such of its Players and Officials as it thinks fit provided that any Player who has entered the field of play in a minimum of five of its League Matches that Season shall receive from the Club a commemorative medal."
"Additional medals may only be presented with the consent of the Board which shall only be given if the total number of Players who have entered the field of play that Season in a minimum of five of the Club’s League Matches exceeds 39."
Heading into the final game of the season, 24 Arsenal players - including Ethan Nwaneri now on loan at Marseille - have played five or more times for the club in the Premier League this season so will automatically be presented with a medal.
However, second-choice goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and third-choice goalkeeper Tommy Setford have not played in the Premier League at all this season.
All 11 of Kepa’s appearances this season have come in cup competitions, while Setford has one game under his belt in the FA Cup.
With just one game remaining, there is no chance of either hitting the winners’ medal threshold. Though, with 16 medals going spare, there is every chance Kepa and Setford get one apiece this weekend.

Will Arsenal get a guard of honour?
09:23 , Alex Young
Arsenal players are waking up on Wednesday morning as Premier League champions, and will soon get all the perks which come with the honour.
The players will be formally presented with and lift the Premier League trophy after the final whistle at Selhurst Park, but they will be honoured ahead of kick-off with the traditional guard of honour.
Any team who has won the Premier League that same season, is greeted onto the pitch with a guard of honour from the opposition.
The traditional, which dates back generations, continues until the end of the current campaign, so Arsenal will be honoured by Crystal Palace in their final game.

Declan Rice last night led Arsenal’s Premier League title celebrations.
As hundreds of Gunners fans descended on the Emirates to celebrate, the Arsenal squad were together at the club’s training base to celebrate together.
And Rice was quick to mark the occasion on Instagram, posting an image of himself with the likes of Kai Havertz, William Saliba, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Bukayo Saka.
The midfielder, widely tipped to be crowned the top-flight’s player of the season, added the caption: “I told you all ... it’s done.”
It is a reference to a viral clip of Rice mouthing “it’s not done” following defeat to Manchester City last month.
