- Jo and Kush were announced as winners Race Across the World series six after12,000km of travelling through Europe and Asia.
- The pair finished ahead of Father and daughter Andrew and Molly, siblings Katie and Harrison, and in-laws Mark and Margo.
- Reflecting on the win, Kush said: “I hope we did Liverpool proud. Big up scousers!” In an interview with BBC he added that winning was a “fever dream” but also a “bittersweet feeling” because the travelling was over.
- Jo said finishing first after leg six was the moment he thought the pair would win and said it was the best trip he had ever experienced.
- The pair, who won £20,000, said part of their winnings will go towards a house deposit.
