BBC names last-minute replacement for Scott Mills on Race Across the World podcast

• Tyler West, a former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, will host the new BBC spin-off podcast, Race Across The World: The Detour.
• West replaces Scott Mills, who was sacked by the BBC on 27 March following allegations about his personal conduct.
• The podcast, described as the main programme's “younger, wilder sibling”, will chart the ups and downs of the upcoming series of Race Across The World.
• It will feature series four winner Alfie Watts sharing travel tips, alongside other guests including travel influencers, comedians, and celebrity fans like Molly Rainford.
• Race Across The World: The Detour will be available weekly on BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds from Thursday, 2 April, immediately after the TV episode airs.
