Award-winning Irish actor with MND dies aged 35

  • Award-winning Irish actor Michael Patrick, known for his roles in 'Game of Thrones' and 'Blue Lights', has died at the age of 35.
  • Patrick was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) in February 2023 and died in the Northern Ireland Hospice.

  • His wife, Naomi, announced his death, describing him as an "inspiration" and a "titan of a ginger-haired man" who lived a life full of joy.
  • Tributes were paid by colleagues and the theatre community, including 'Saturday Night Live UK' star George Fouracres, who praised his humour, wisdom, and kindness.
