Arsenal dominate PFA Player of the Year shortlist after Premier League triumph

  • Arsenal's Declan Rice, Gabriel, and David Raya have been nominated for the Professional Footballers’ Association’s Men’s Player of the Year award, recognised for their instrumental roles in the Gunners' Premier League title challenge, with Raya securing the Golden Glove.
  • The Men's shortlist also features Manchester City's top scorer Erling Haaland, Rayan Cherki and Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.
  • For the Women's Player of the Year, Manchester City's Yui Hasegawa and Bunny Shaw were nominated, with Shaw scoring 21 goals as City clinched both the Women's Super League crown and the FA Cup.
  • Other nominees for the Women's award include Arsenal's Alessia Russo, Aston Villa's Kirsty Hanson, Chelsea's Lauren James, and Manchester United's Jess Park.
  • The winners for both men's and women's awards, alongside the Young Player of the Year for various leagues, will be announced at the annual ceremony held at Manchester Opera House on Tuesday 25 August.
