Arsenal and Liverpool wonderkids to join Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad

  • Thomas Tuchel has confirmed his 26-man England squad for the World Cup, with some players facing delayed arrivals due to their involvement in European club finals.
  • Four young players – Alex Scott , Josh King , Rio Ngumoha , and Ethan Nwaneri – have been called up to join the squad for warm-up friendlies, while Brighton’s Jason Steele will be with the squad as a training goalkeeper.
  • These additions are intended to ensure a full squad for training and matches, allowing for careful management of key players' minutes ahead of the tournament.
  • England will travel to Florida for two warm-up friendlies against New Zealand on 6 June and Costa Rica on 10 June.
  • The squad will then move to their tournament base in Kansas City on 13 June, with their World Cup campaign commencing on 17 June against Croatia.
