Twilight actor Taylor Lautner has announced his wife Tay is pregnant with a baby girl.
The pair announced the pregnancy in March with an Instagram post captioned “what’s better than two Taylor Lautners?”, and shared a joint post of them doing a gender reveal on a laptop on Saturday.
In a post on his Instagram story, Lautner said: “My dream has always been to become a girl dad.
“All of my puppies have been girls. Some of my best friends in the whole world are girls. My only sibling is my baby sister. I have an incredible mother.
“Tay is my favourite person to ever exist and she just so happens to be a girl. All I wanted was a healthy baby but deep down this moment is what I was dreaming of.
“The weight that was lifted off my shoulders in this moment knowing that dream came true was unlike anything I’ve felt. Tay is the strongest person I know and my hero.
“I can’t wait to welcome this little baby girl into our world. Team girl.”
In the post, the pair could be seen covering their eyes, holding hands and kissing ahead of the reveal, before cheering as the result appeared, after which Tay could be seen crying.
The clip was captioned: “Our little secret is now yours.”
Lautner is best known for his role as werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight saga of films, and has also starred in movies such as Valentine’s Day (2010) and The Adventures Of Sharkboy And Lavagirl In 3-D (2006).
On TV he has had roles in BBC sitcom Cuckoo and US dark comedy series Scream Queens, and he also appeared as a robber in the video for pop superstar Taylor Swift’s 2023 song I Can See You.
