A new Halo leak claims the campaign is content‑complete — but the customization details raise bigger questions

Master Chief in Halo: Campaign Evolved.

In the latest report from Mr Rebs, who has released a flurry of reports on Halo: Campaign Evolved recently and is considered a rather reliable source, has now detailed new information regarding the game’s customization system and more.

After Halo Studios confirmed the game will not feature a shop, following concerns tied to the Master Chief skin revealed through the Fanta partnership, we now have a clearer idea of how deep customization may go, along with a hint at how far along development currently is.

New report outlines armor, weapon customization and more

According to Mr Rebs, Master Chief will have a skin system that allows players to customize his appearance, with armor sets based on his Mark V armor, but reshaped and redesigned to look different.

We already have confirmation of armor skins through the Fanta partnership revealed for Xbox’s 25th anniversary, but Mr Rebs now also states that the game will feature weapon skins as well.

Fortunately, the game will not include a shop. This suggests, or at least raises the possibility, that these cosmetics are unlocked through gameplay (or so I hope!), whether that is completing the game on Legendary, earning commendations, or through other promotions.

Mr Rebs also revisits his earlier report on Halo: Campaign Evolved reusing Halo Infinite assets. With one of his sources claiming that while this is true, some assets are being subtly changed.

Alongside this report is confirmation that the game is practically content complete and currently playable from start to finish, including the three additional prequel missions detailed previously by Mr Rebs.

According to the latest report, the game is expected to be showcased further at Xbox’s June showcase on June 7, 2026.

Be sure to show Mr Rebs some love over on X and over on YouTube.
