Hulu is the perfect streaming service to use to build your next weekend movie marathon. It regularly add originals and classics to its library, and, because it's owned by Disney, it's the streaming home for new releases from several Disney-owned studios. It also has deals with some other studios to get in new releases before any other service, whether they're produced by Disney or not.
This weekend, I have three movies recently added to Hulu that are a must-watch. First up is "It Ends with Us," a fine Colleen Hoover adaptation that became highly controversial after its 2024 release, thanks to its leading stars, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. Then, there's "Kneecap," an excellent Irish comedy-drama about Ireland's most famous rap group. Finally, there's "Gladiator," which probably needs no introduction, thanks to an Oscar-winning performance from Russell Crowe.
Here are the three new to Hulu movies you need to stream this weekend. For more recommendations, check out the full list of everything new to Hulu in June 2026.
'It Ends With Us' (2024)
Genre: Romantic drama movie
What's it about? "It Ends with Us" centers around Lily Bloom (Blake Lively), a florist who suddenly finds herself in a whirlwind romance with Ryle (Justin Baldoni). The blossoming relationship turns sour, though, when Ryle's anger issues manifest in truly ugly fashion.
Why you should watch it: This movie should have just been a relatively fine romance flick, albeit one with a lot of messy drama. But then Lively and Baldoni's legal battles turned it into a hot topic with messy drama all of its own. If you want to see what all the fuss is about, check out "It Ends with Us" on Hulu now.

'Kneecap' (2024)
Genre: Biographical comedy-drama movie
What's it about? There's a chance you might be familiar with the Irish hip-hop trio Kneecap. But if you aren't, know that this biopic launched the group into another level of stardom. It's not just a traditional biographical movie, though. It's really an insightful examination of life for the generation of Irish in Belfast that grew up after the Good Friday Agreement, as well as a love letter to the Irish language.
Why you need to watch it: Full disclosure: you'll need to turn on the subtitles for this movie's Irish dialogue. Irish as a language is integral to the purpose of this movie, as well as the purpose of Kneecap's music itself. Don't let this being a foreign-language film turn you away, though. It's very much a must-watch.

'Gladiator' (2000)
Genre: Epic historical fiction movie
What's it about? "Gladiator" tells the tale of Maximus Decimus Meridius (Russell Crowe). Commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions. Loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius (Richard Harris). Father to a murdered son (Giorgio Cantarini), husband to a murdered wife (Ginnina Facio). He will have his vengeance, in this life or the next.
Why you need to watch it: This movie is just awesome. Go watch it now. If you don't like it, I'll give you your money back (but not really).
